Graphics and Imaging Lab

The Graphics and Imaging Lab is a research group working on computer graphics and computational imaging. The group does relevant research in the areas of physically-based rendering, appearance modeling, computational imaging, virtual reality, applied perception…

In particular, we focus on topics such as accurately modeling light-matter interactions, developing low-cost visual assessment tools, understanding the perception of appearance, exploring new cinematographic languages for VR storytelling, and developing novel imaging modalities allowing superhuman vision capabilities such as looking around corners or through media.

We publish at the top venues of the field, including Nature, Scientific Reports or ACM Transactions on Graphics (SIGGRAPH/SIGGRAPH Asia), and have strong collaborations with some of the lead academic and industrial institutions in the field.
